Journey: Triple L Estate – Charles Street Brasserie, Solomons Island – the Beach – Triple L Estate
We had a significantly overcast sky throughout the morning. Fortunately, the sun started to make an appearance as we prepared for departure.
We met the Boyz at Charles Street Brasserie for a Sunday brunch. We offered for them to come to our house and ride over with us to the island. Unfortunately, they had other plans.
We had a lovely time with them. I’m glad they suggested Charles Street as that’s a location that I never think to go. We noticed that they added a pre-fab outdoor tiki hut area. A nice addition.
After a leisurely brunch we parted ways.
On our way out of Solomons, I was stunned at the dangerous situation of a wakeboard boat allowing passengers – a young passenger at that – to ride on the back sundeck stern area. At least the young rider wore a vest. I guess they don’t care if the adult life is lost.
Lori wanted to stop by the Beach. Although I try to avoid, or at least reduce, exposure to deplorable voters, I’m actually glad we stopped. Vicky and Jerry had come down to southern Maryland on their boat. What a nice surprise.
We stayed longer than expected simply because we enjoyed visiting with Vicky and Jerry. I wish we had known they were coming to our ‘neighborhood’. We really do need to hook-up with them, either us going to their spectacularly located house or at a mutual meeting spot.
On the way, I saw yet another boat operating with passengers sitting in a manner that seemed quite dangerous. I couldn’t understand how any captain could think this is a good idea.
We headed for home as the sky began to fill with clouds. That evening we had quite a sky full of storm clouds.
