Journey: Triple L Estate, Hollywood – Calvert Marina, Solomons – Island Hideaway, Solomons Island – Triple L Estate, Hollywood
I woke this morning to a light, slushy, ice glaze over the water. By noon o’clock, clouds began rolling in from the west. Early in the morning fox walked through the yard and along the sidewalk in front of the sunroom. Thank goodness I had just let Sophie into the house before he arrived.
I went down early to warm up the engines at 11:45 am. Not surprising, the engines had a sluggish starting, needing two attempts before they fired up. As they began to warm, the gauge read a total of 24.8 gallons of fuel had been used. I noticed that the port engine warmed faster than the starboard engine.
By 12:20 pm the engines had warmed to operating temperature and I turned the engines off until Lori came down to the boat. Restarted the engines at 12:35 pm, having on problem with an immediate start, thanks to having been warmed earlier.
We went first to Calvert Marina to fill up with fuel.
After fueling we headed over to Island Hideaway for a lovely lunch.
Engines flushed when returned to home port.
