Journey: Triple L Estate, Hollywood – Dry Dock at Zahniser’s Yachting Center, Solomons – Island Hideaway, Solomons Island – Triple L Estate
The boyz had invited us for brunch. They had made reservations at Zahniser’s Dry Dock Restaurant at 1:00 pm, and they wanted to take our boat.
I captained from the upper helm with Eric by my side. Such a lovely day. We did worry about whether or not there would be a slip available, so Barry confirmed we would have a place to tie up.
We had a lovely brunch. It’s been a VERY long time since I last ate at Dry Dock. I always worry that their changing menu based on what is fresh will end up not having anything that would interest me. I like the idea of a changing menu based on fresh ingredients, but I think you need one set, non-changing menu, so that if there’s nothing of interest on the fresh for today menu, then there is the back-up of reliably always available.
After brunch we decided to stop by Island Hideaway for a drink … ‘just to be polite’. As always, enjoyed our stop and chatted with the staff. After a relaxing afternoon we headed for home.
