Journey: Triple L Estate, Hollywood – Hidden Harbour, Solomons – Triple L Estate
Although we have a chance of storms, Lori wanted to go out for dinner, specifically to Hidden Harbour for their Meatloaf special on Monday. Looking at radar chances of storms we expected that the storms would miss us. On the way to Solomons we passed by a couple of Dragon Boats practicing for the upcoming races.
Near the base I noticed a large barge so we took the long way around to check it out. After a bit of a look we headed towards Solomons. Before we reached the inlet, Paradise Creek had begun to tow the barge.
As we pulled into the slip along the wall, adjacent to the restaurant, April (the owner) leaned over the railing to say she like our boat. While at Hidden Harbour, some fellow took a long, admiring look at our boat. He came up and asked us, “What’s up on top?” We told him, “Flybridge, separate helm.” “Really!? That’s really neat.” After a few more questions he said we had a very practical boat.
Our server, a woman, said, “Oh my word, you’re here! I was at Sea Breeze with my husband and we saw you pull up.
You two just get all over.” I said, “Oh, we go all over with this boat.” I’m thinking to myself, ‘Going to Sea Breeze and Solomons isn’t really all the adventurous.’
We very much so enjoyed our meal – especially with how the total tallied up to a very affordable sum. We headed home before any storms developed.
