Journey: Triple L Estate – Mill Creek cove area – Sea Breeze – Island Creek – Solomons area – Triple L Estate

9328-mv-alacrityWe had too nice of a day to stay home and decided to ride up-river for dinner. On our way towards the Patuxent we did a quick cruise around Mill Creek cove area to see what vessels had anchored for a stay in the neighborhood. After nosing around we headed out to, and up, the Patuxent River to Sea Breeze.

After eating we decided to zip across the river and swing by Broomes Island to see if they might be hosting a random draw cornhole evening. As we zoomed by it looked vacant, even the restaurant looked as though it might be closed. We cruised on up Island Creek to nearly the end before turning around. On our way past Southern Acres I noticed Tommy walking down the steps towards the pier. We hadn’t planned on stopping, but he began waving us over so we decided to stop.

We pulled up to their pier. He invited us up to the house saying Julie was currently making dinner. We declined since we had just eaten. We chatted with Tommy for a while. I knew it was time to leave when he started actually supporting the idiot, sexual assaulter, Trump. Yep. No need to waste any more of my time with this mentality. I quickly cast off and we headed back out to the Patuxent.

We cruised down river and under the bridge … not quite to the base. I wanted to check out the sky to determine what the sunset may look like. As the sky remained mostly clear, it seemed as though it would be a somewhat less than stellar sunset so we decided to head for home.9405-moon
