Journey: Triple L Estate – Stoney’s, Broomes Island – Triple L Estate
Tonight was again Corn Hole night. On our way out of Clarkes Landing we noticed the knucklehead trawler still anchored at marker ‘11’. Although, technically, outside of the main channel, we still think it’s a HORRIBLE place to anchor.
I had a lot of fun tonight. P had come up on his Tiara. To my surprise, he was quite jovial. The Corn Ho’s won all three games, even their final game against the undefeated team – E and S. That sent the league abuzz. Everyone seemed quite happy for the Corn Ho’s. I don’t know if it’s because people are fond of the Corn Ho’s or, more likely, happy to see S loose.
Because everyone seemed to be in such good spirits, we stayed later than usual in order to chat with people.
On our way home we, fortunately, remembered the trawler anchored at Clarkes Landing channel entrance. Its lights were sooooo VERY dim, and positioned in such a way that they blended PERFECTLY with lights on shore. This rendered the trawler essentially invisible to anyone on the water. I’m so afraid that one morning I’m going to wake up to a report of a horrible boating accident where someone has rammed into the trawler.
