Journey: Triple L Estate – Calvert Marina, to look for September Song – Spring Cove Marina to check out fuel prices – Calvert Marina fuel dock – Vera’s White Sands Beach Resort – Triple L Estate
Many bozos on the water. Let me first say, most likely, none of the boats pictured below belonged in the bozo group. When I’m encountering bozos I’m too busy captaining to bother with taking photos.
We first went to Calvert Marina to look for September Song. Didn’t see any movement so, since we had already traveled that far down the creek, we continued on to Spring Cove Marina to check out their fuel prices. Not a bargain, so we returned to Calvert Marina’s fueling dock.
Fuel at Calvert Marina
Gauge read: 44.6 gal used
Filled: 43.9 gallons
Price: $ 2.85/ gallon
Hrs when filled: 203.5/ 202.6
Afterwards we headed towards Vera’s. Our up-river ride proved to be quite rough. The most entertaining thing about hanging out at Vera’s was watching the various boats pass by. Even more entertaining, watching bozos try to dock. One, in particular, I thought was a total bozo, but then as we watched I realized – wow, he’s actually got a good strategy. He allowed the wind to push him broadside against the row of outer pilings. He then pivoted around to bring his stern in to dock. Actually rather clever. I’ll have to remember that for the future.
