FRIDAY 10 JUNE 2016
Journey: Triple L Estate – Hidden Harbour, Calvert Marina, Solomons – Bluefish Pub, Solomons – Triple L Estate
The day was too nice not to go out. We called to see if Sam and Kathy would like to join us for the evening. Sam had gone to Virginia to look at jet skis while Kathy promised to mow the lawn. Kathy decided to skip the lawn work and instead go out with us.
We first went to Hidden Harbour, located at Calvert Marina. We had an ok meal. They had changed how they prepared their Cuban sandwich so Kathy was a bit disappointed with her meal. Lori ordered steak and cheese, which was great. I tried their BLT pizza which was just ok. I suggested to our server that they need to make a steak and cheese pizza. She agreed that it sounded good. I hope she remembers to recommend that to the owners, and the owners listen.
After Hidden Harbour we cruised over to Bluefish Pub, located at Solomons Yachting Center. When Kathy climbed on board for the short journey between Hidden Harbour and Solomons Yachting Center, she went down below to lay on the bed, saying she has never slept on a boat.
Due to the beautiful weather, we sat outside along the poolside.
Since our port light had again gone out we departed the island before sunset. It worked out well for us as it we had a delightful sunset to follow home.
