FRIDAY 27 MAY 2016
In the morning, Lori and I drove to Hallowing Point DNR, Prince Frederick (by land), to get jetski registration renewal. Lori dropped be at the boat ramp area to walk Sophie while she went to the building. As she entered the foyer, the drop-ceiling fell on her and another lady. The ceiling bit mostly Lori’s left side: her head, face – knocking her glasses off, and left arm.
Journey: Triple L Estate – Stoney’s, Broomes Island – Triple L Estate
Matt had found someone to work for him this evening, so he and his friend, Liz, joined us for a Friday night at Broomes Island. We undid the fly bridge and I captained up river from the upper helm.
We had a lovely time, and I made sure to introduce Matt to as many people as possible. This included Matt finally meeting Julie. It’s the first time he’s ever met her, even though he had slept in their barn apartment during Tiki opening weekend.
On our way home I captained from the pilot house helm in order to utilize the radar and chart plotter. Matt and Liz sat on the upper helm with promises not to touch anything. A lovely ride home with a slight coolness to the evening air.
Conditions: HOT and sunny
Passengers: Capt KandL, Matt, Matt’s friend – Liz
Vessel: ‘Gurlz Gotta Eat’
