FRIDAY 6 NOVEMBER 2015
Journey: Triple L Estate – Blackstone Marine, Hollywood – Hidden Harbour, Lusby/ Solomons – Spring Cove Marina, Lusby/ Solomons – Solomons Yachting Center, Solomons – Triple L Estate
Since I’ll be traveling tomorrow for the next month, there were a few items to address before my departure. We first went to Blackstone Marina to pump out the head. We then went out for lunch at Hidden Harbour. Because of the nice warm and sunny day, we wanted to sit outside. As we waited for our meals, we worried the wind would blow our plates away… and then the yellow-jacket bees found us. We promptly moved inside.
After lunch we cruised up to Spring Cove Marina, since we were already so close, to check out the price of fuel. Once we realized Solomons Yachting Center had a better price, we turned and headed in that direction.
The gauge read we had used 53.5 gallons.
Filled with 54.4 gallons at $2.75/ gallon = $150.20
Filled at: 161.1/160.2 hrs
After fueling we returned home.
Time: 12:50 pm – 3:40 pm
Conditions: VERY WARM !!! almost 80 ̊ F, almost hot, if it hadn’t been for the wind it would have been quite hot; with all the wind I would have expected much rougher water rather than the mild one foot waves; with all the warmth, sun and wind, yet minimal chop, it was the perfect sailing day
Vessel: ‘Gurlz Gotta Eat’
