Journey: Triple L Estate – Stoney’s, Broomes Island – Triple L Estate
Tonight is our weekly fall league cornhole night. On our way out of Cuckold Creek we saw a large military vessel, most likely Navy, anchored in the Patuxent River near markers “9” and “11” which mark the entrance to Clarkes Landing and Cuckold Creek. SCORE!!! I immediately asked Lori to take the helm so I could stand outside and take photos. She, knowing how I am, stayed to the main channel, going out and around marker “11” rather than the more direct route that cuts in front of red “2”.
Seeing the military vessel was the most exciting part of the night. (Ok, always a highlight is the weekly photo with A in order to send to Aunt Missy.)
I talked with Debbie tonight about Doris’ retirement, which will be official next cornhole. Oct. 1. I hadn’t given it much thought, but Edie had asked me about it earlier this week. Since I’ll be leaving the country on Saturday, Debbie will arrange to bring a cake next week in order to celebrate Doris’ new freedom.
