FRIDAY 11 SEPTEMBER 2015
Journey: Triple L Estate – Blackstone Marina, Hollywood – Boyz’ house – Stoney’s, Broomes Island – Triple L Estate
We first needed to stop by Blackstone Marina in order to pump out the head. As we left our cove I noted a vessel, “Cat Call” anchored near the entrance. Mental note to self to look for that when we returned this evening.
After Blackstone we headed to the Boyz’ house in order to drop off the stain glass windows they had loaned to Debbie for her niece’s wedding. Barry had tasked me with the responsibility of getting them back to their house. After hanging out with the Boyz we all headed over to Stoney’s, in our respective boats.
We of course had a great time. We were surprised to see P’s ex-girlfriend, Dayna, at Broomes. It has been a LOOOONNNNGGGGG time since we last saw her. Even more amazing, however, is that Dayna and Karyn knew each other from high school. They started reminiscing, and Dayna remembered all kinds of stories from Karyn’s 16th birthday party, which floored Karyn.
We also met a guy, Barry, who was college roommates with Tony. He wanted a tour of our boat, which I gave him. Being a big, and tall fellow he was surprised at how comfortable he felt on our boat. I found out he and his wife also live in Hollywood just off Cuckold Creek between J’s house and Clarkes Landing. Small world.
We ended up staying much later than we originally expected. Just as we were about to leave, Pat and Mary arrived. Since today is Mary’s actual birthday we decided to stay in order to celebrate her birthday with her. Because of that we didn’t get home until almost 11:00. For us, that is late. Fortunately, Cat Call was well lit with not only a mast anchor light, but also a light on at cockpit level as well as flashing holiday-like lights circling its bimini.
