Journey: Triple L Estate – – Patuxent River, tip of Solomons Island – Broomes Island – Triple L Estate
We first went out on the Patuxent River as far south as the tip of Solomons Island in order to show them how close we were to the Chesapeake Bay. We then turned around and headed up river to Broomes Island for lunch. As usual, we had a lovely time at Broomes. Double D arrived while we ate lunch. We introduced Danny to Mary as they both grew up in PG County I thought it might be possible they know some of the same people.
Unfortunately, Mary and Kelly needed to leave by late afternoon. While Lori paid our tab, I headed to the boat in order to get everything in order. Along the way I ran into Joe’s mom and sister, Norma and Debbie, just arriving for an early dinner.
Going home was less fun. We had extremely rough seas which hit us head onto the bow. There wasn’t a single spot on the river we could move to in order to escape the pounding. This is the roughest we’ve seen the river so far this summer.
