Journey: Triple L Estate – Stoney’s, Broomes Island – Triple L Estate
We went up to Broomes for our usual Funday Sunday. As always, we enjoyed talking with a lot of our friends – one of the main reasons we always travel up to Broomes. At one point Lori wanted to take a group to Sea Breeze. I counted the number – quite a few more than we could carry. I then noticed it seemed rather windy and rough, which meant it may be very rough at Sea Breeze making for a difficult docking situation. These two factors prompted me to tell Lori, “No, we need to stay here.”
Later in the afternoon we watched a go-fast boat arrive. I commented that I couldn’t believe he intended to dock bow towards the pier rather than stern first. Later, while leaving, he again demonstrated his skills at the helm. Somehow he lost control of how his boat being pushed by the wind. Somehow he ended up being pushed to shore between the restaurant and the pier. Unable to extricate himself from this predicament he ended up being towed out by a jet-ski! A bit frightening to think of this fellow at the controls of a go-fast boat.
By early evening we headed for home in order to prepare for the upcoming week.
