Journey: Triple L Estate – Cuckold Creek – Triple L Estate
Time: 11:40 am – 12:00 pm
Conditions: sunny, 50 degrees, slight wind
Vessel: 23’ Seaway fishing boat
It was FINALLY warm enough to consider going out for a ride. Earlier this week I asked Lori to charge the batteries. Once we put the batteries in the motor actually started fairly easily. That’s always nice.
Lori chose to stay home saying that one of us should remain on land in case something went wrong and we needed a rescue. I don’t know how she planned on rescuing me, since all our other boats are on land. Oh well.
Sophie and I took off for our little adventure. We stayed in Cuckold Creek… just in case.
It’s always interesting to see what people are doing with their homes along the water’s edge. If it weren’t for going out on the boat I would never have known this small little cottage is being rebuilt.
The boat ran quite well, which is a relief. Since we really didn’t have a destination, and it was a bit chilly, we didn’t stay out for long. It was just nice to be out on the water again. First ride of this 2014 year.
