Journey: Triple L Estate – Stoney’s, Broomes Island – Triple L Estate
One of the only reasons we went up to Broomes Island was to spend some time with Eric. As we arrived we noticed two older fellows on stand-up jet skis. We were pretty sure they were the same two blokes from a few years ago that had been such a-holes that Jeannie kicked them out and threatened to call the policy if they didn’t leave. Although acting like disgusting sleeze bags, the essentially behaved this time.
As we sat chatting with friends, some random woman comes up to be and says, “You ride the *** bus, don’t you? You always sit behind the driver.” Feeling a bit exposed I warily said, “You must ride the 2:15 bus.” (In the morning I sit in a different spot.) Not only did she know where I sat, she knew that I always sleep on the way home.YIKES! I tried to be polite while still remaining distant since I tend to keep work life very separate from personal life.
We saw the judges again. I went over and talked with them for a while. Now that we don’t do too many Friday nights, we almost never see them.
As it got later and later, Jeannie began to get more and more relaxed. By early evening she and Jenna sat in the back soda prep area so that’s where Lori and I went to hang out and party with them … which explains why we ended up staying at Stoney’s so much later than originally planned.
