Lori and I went over to Blackstone Marina to pump out the holding tank. Although the head had not been used all summer, it needed to be pumped out from having been winterized. When we returned, Lori changed the hose on the engine so we no longer have the small leak.

thelma chloeWe finally went out for a tour of St. Leonard’s Creek and on up the Patuxent to Benedict to follow the route used by the British to loot, plunder and burn their way towards Washington DC. At first I worried it might be a bit too rough, then I thought – it’ll be a lot more calm than the English Channel so it will be fine.

Somewhere in St. Leonard’s Creek our boat rolled over the 500 hour mark. I wish I had paid closer attention as I wanted to stop and have a special celebration.

thelmaOnce we finished with St. Leonard’s Creek, we headed over to SeaBreeze for lunch. We thought it appropriate to give them a taste of an authentic crab restaurant – paper already on the table, and sinks strategically located for patrons to wash their hands once they finish picking crabs.

We then continued up the Patuxent to Benedict and Club Billings. We hung out at Club Billings for the afternoon before finally returning home. I wanted Lester to have a chance to meet the English people, since his mother came from England.
