fish boatLori invited people she knew from work over for breakfast. After breakfast we went out for a boat ride. I first took them towards Solomons Island after which we headed up towards Broomes Island. As we neared the island it was mentioned that Ronnie had never been to Vera’s before, so we headed up St. Leonard’s Creek. We showed her not only the restaurant and beach club, but also Vera’s house.

By this time, it was getting later in the morning and we headed back to the house.

Journey II: Triple L Estate – Tommy and Julie’s – Triple L Estate
Engine Hrs: 483.0 – 484.1    Time: 12-30 pm – 4:30 pm
Conditions: sunny and hot
Vessel: Chaparral 260 SSi Bowrider

Shortly after our morning guests departed, we hopped on the boat to head up to Tommy and Julie’s house. As we rounded Half Pone Point and headed up river we noticed a small helicopter in someone’s front yard. We noticed it looked as though they may be preparing to leave so we bobbed in the water to watch. After about 5 or so minutes, the copter did actually take off. I was impressed, I couldn’t believe it could land and take off with so many trees nearby.

Once the helicopter left we continued up river to Tommy and Julie’s house. As we sat poolside, we noticed a blimp coming our direction. It was a Budweiser blimp which flew directly overhear. Pretty Cool.

Later in the afternoon the wind started to pick. We worried that a storm might be brewing so we decided to head home.
