Journey: Triple L Estate – Vera’s White Sands, St. Leonards Creek – Triple L Estate

We originally planned on going up to Club Billings at Hallowing Point. When we got out onto the river we were amazed at the very rough seas condition. We expected it to be much nicer since yesterday’s fierce winds had subsided by around 9 pm. After traveling a short distance Lori asked, “Are you sure you want to go all the way to Club Billings?” I agreed to abort that plan. I instead recommended going to Vera’s which she agreed.

I had to cross to the other side of the river which caused some splashing up over the port side, which caused Jordan to quickly move from the bow area towards the back. We pointed out the back was no much dryer. As soon as we entered St. Leonards Creek we were protected from the wind and had a nice smooth ride.

Because we had Sophie we sat at the beach area. If it hadn’t been for the wind it would have been a rather hot day. Sophie surprised us, a bit, by NOT going into the water. Amazing since the beach offered her favorite combination – able to wade into the water and roll in sand afterwards. Instead, she dug herself a hole in the sand and laid in the shade.

We ate dinner on the beach and then returned home.
