Journey: Triple L Estate – Clarkes Landing – Triple L Estate
The boys came over for brunch – which meant actually lunch by the time they showed up. Once we finished eating and having a few drinks someone said, “Let’s take the boat out.” Of course, I was game.
We all agreed to go to Clarkes Landing since it was windy and rather chilly outside, and Clarkes is close. We were pleased at how warm it felt inside the boat thanks to the foul weather gear.
As we approached Clarkes, Lori said to me, “I hope you brought your wallet because I know I did not.” How very convenient.
We had a lovely time at Clarkes Landing and returned home at a decent evening hour.
** Note: A few days later we were talking with Sam. He said on Sunday he was down at his pier working on the lift switch. He was not having an easy time of it, it was cold and he was uncomfortable. He happened to look up in time to see our boat scooting down the river. He was soooo ticked! He said he was giving us the finger because he was stuck there and we were off having fun.
