Journey: Forest Landing – Cuckold Creek/ Mill Creek – Triple L Estate – Kingfisher, Solomons Island – Triple L Estate
Lori finished waxing the outside hull area yesterday so today we put on the new anode, attached the second battery, and added – lines, fenders, life vest, trash can, and first aid kit in preparation for an afternoon launch.
The launch went off without a hitch. I idled out as far as Weeks Marina them opened it up to cruise down Cuckold Creek to Mill Creek. We’re still having squealing sounds from the engine, and from the steering. Hopefully the steering noises will end once the fluids get flowing again. The engine squealing is becoming a pain trying to figure out the cause. We had hoped that when Joe realized how the drive had been seizing that perhaps that was the culprit. No luck.
I returned to Triple L. Lori and I then put on the foul weather gear. Since the day seemed nice, and with the enisling (sp?) glass, we decided to go out for dinner. The obvious choice – Kingfisher at Solomons Island.
A sailboat still sits in my favorite parking spot. I found out it belongs to Vince so I told Eric, Joanna, and Jay, that they need to tell Vince to move his boat over one slop, next to the Stoney’s boat, so that I can have my spot back… and please have this done by noon tomorrow.
We finished a lovely meal and returned home just as the sun was setting.
