Journey: Triple L Estate – Kingfishers, Solomons Island – Triple L Estate
Another nice December day. Lester and Marcia accepted our invitation for an afternoon on the boat. Prior to departure we added another five gallons of fuel just to make sure we’d have enough. I also threw in a couple of plastic lawn chairs for additional seating, which made the boat look even more redneck.
We headed over to Kingfishers for a few drinks. Before it got too late, and the sun’s warmth disappeared, we headed back for home.
One thing I noticed is the sunken sailboat. It ticks me off that these boats are allowed to rot at people’s piers yet I cannot build a cover over my boat because “it’s bad for the environment”. Something seems messed up in this equation.
Time: 1:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Vessel: 23’ Seaway fishing boat
Conditions: another warm December day, although slightly chillier and rougher than yesterday
Fuel: Added five gallons of fuel prior to departing the pier.
